The Retrofuturism mini-series, conceived by Club Qing, comprises five unique artworks. Retrofuturism, a movement in the creative arts, reflects the influence of past-era depictions of the future.
As inherently curious and imaginative beings, we constantly envision what the future might hold, a notion equally prevalent in both past and present times. The paintings in this series represent interpretations of future travel as imagined by people in the 18th century.
The third bottle of this series is a 10-year-old Secret Lowland Single Malt. Although the distillery name is not disclosed on the label, its name starts with a "G" (Glenkinchie 🤫). There are very few independently bottled expressions of this distillery and that's why we are so keen to have it in the bottle. This whisky was matured in a 2nd fill oloroso hogshead for a very long time, resulting in an unprecedented and unique profile of grilled kale, star anise, exotic spices, cherry liqueur and herbal liqueur. It shows us there are many possibilities in whisky making.

Nose: Coastal and spice, combined in a sophisticated way. Grilled kale, star anise, Indian spices, white flowers, wet fishnet and wet rocks
Palate: This mysterious whisky seems to just keep giving. Cherry liqueur, cooked oranges, sweet spices, IPA, cream soda, herbal liqueur.
Finish: Quite long; on cherry liqueur, and more herbs. A complex character despite its young age. This Secret Lowland is a perfect example of the diversity of scotch whisky.
